We are at Bear Lake, which, in my opinion, is one of the most gorgeous spots on earth. We’re tucked away in this beautiful place with very little connection to the outside world…kinda hard to get Internet or phone service. Makes for good long days of concentrating on kids and extended family, building sand castles, UNO competitions, waterskiing, reading, playing tennis, trying to get my kids to do their summer goals, watching the cousins bond, etc. We had our big reunion with all eight of my siblings, their spouses and kids for almost a week. Then my sisters, a sister-in-law and a couple brothers and our kids (and of course my parents) are still hanging out here. Dave came for the reunion and then came back again the next weekend, and now we haven’t seen him for a couple weeks (that darn work gets in the way). He’s flying up this weekend to make the drive back home with us. The kids and I are pretty homesick for him.

I’ve taken so many thousands of pictures
but here are a few…Elle & cousin Hazel
Lucy hanging on the beach…luckily she doesn’t like to eat sand as much as my other kids have.

Max is totally into water sports this year…he got a lot better at wakeboarding, skiing and even learned to ski on one ski. We doubled one day and it was so fun. Every time we got up he cheerfully said, “hi mom!” as he popped out of the water before me. Ok, my computer time’s up. More later.

  1. I love Lucy’s outfit! I didn’t know you have a niece named Hazel! I do too and she’s just as sweet as yours. Maybe it’s the name? Have fun!
