Max the protective big brother:
Claire’s new haircut (too bad it’s a little messy for the blog debut). She’s completely enamored with it and has decided her new nickname should be “Short cut.”
Lucy’s new high chair exit strategy:
Elle always wants her turn with the camera:Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe these girls are sisters. Sometimes I think they look alike, but today they just looked so different to me.

  1. I think your kids look like family, but each totally unique. And all equally as beautiful. Your little lucy reminds me of Max. Do you see that? It’s always fun to hear who people think my kids look like because most of the time I can’t see it.

  2. You’re girls are so beautiful. You always catch the best moments. I need to have camera “ready” more.
Would you like to try hitting San Tan this week? I’m open every day except for Friday.
    Let me know 🙂

  3. I love how each of your children is unique, but I definitely see the resemblance in the girls’ eyes. And I think the “short cut” is adorable! Really sets off her sweet smile 🙂

  4. I love these little glimpses. Lucy is a crack up. I just want to squeeze her!! Claire is adorable with her haircut. Looks like Elle is taking after mom with her camera talent. Gorgeous picture!!

  5. Your children are so beautiful and you are an amazing photographer. I have to tell you your post on “be still” was the topic of my lesson in R.S. this month. Thanks for writing it. It sure was inspired me.
    Mindy 🙂

  6. Shawni, I had to comment on Lucy’s new exit- how does she do that? LOL, she is sooo adorable. That would have made me a little scared& bonkers if Nathanael had ever learned that ; ).
FYI- speaking of Lucy, you did a post on your concern for maybe some delays. My son has a speech delay ( he was also a late walker, and is still a little behind his peers in some things)- I went to Amazon and bought two really great books that help to ease my mind:
1.The Parents Guide to Speech and Language Problems by Debbie Feit.
2.Teach Me How to Say It Right by Dorothy Dougherty.
There are some other great books too. I remember feeling so guilty and helpless- I wish I had read these books as Nathanael was going into the birth to three program! Less worry-OK, maybe not at all- I do worry, that’s my job right?! I am a mother 😉
I always love your post and your photography is beautiful!

  7. All four of your girls look completely different but all have the same sparkle. I never thought you and your sisters all looked too much alike either. Love the photos and Lucy may be a future olympian!

  8. You got some pretty darn cute kids. I see similarities in them all but they look different overall to me because they have different personalities.
