Ok, so just a little side-note on Blissful Living Studio classes. The Capture the Moment class I had scheduled for tomorrow, August 14th has been postponed until the 28th at 10-11:30a.m. I’m sorry if this messes anyone up. Hopefully anyone planning on tomorrow can come on the 28th instead. Dave and I are leaving for China this weekend and I just couldn’t squeeze in that class. So, come if you can on Thursday, the 28th! As we fade from all the summer craziness into schedules and school it’s such a great time of year to get all rejuvenated about capturing the moment with our kids. No matter how many great ideas we have it always helps so much to have a chance to discuss them and write them down…make a plan. I need it so I’m excited I get to teach it! I’ve got a bunch of ideas I’m excited to share including how important planning is (and a great way to do it devised by my extraordinary parents), ideas for starting simple family traditions, getting to know your kids better through personal interviews, etc. This is the class description:

Capturing the Moment with your Kids: 7 easy steps to fully enjoy your kids NOW.

Sometimes the role of “mother” can seem thankless and overwhelming. But our attitude can make all the difference. We are raising important people who will be all grown up before we know it. Making great memories with our kids and building great relationships now will affect our relationships for a lifetime.

Come explore with us seven ideas to soak in the moment now.

Ok, then on to PHOTOGRAPHY:
My brother and I are teaching a Photoshop/Lightroom class on September 11th from 7:00 to 9:00. (See the description here.) This class is already filling up quick and we’re only taking ten registrants so we can really delve into things, so get in now if you’re interested. There’s a new really slick on-line sign-up or you can call too. Just click here for the online registration.

(You’ll have to call the studio about the Capture the Moment class on the 28th since that won’t be on the calendar.)

We’re putting together the October schedule now. I’m thinking about doing a class just for more experienced photographers who want to take it to a new level. Let me know if you’d be interested in that one. I’m also thinking about setting up some sort of discussion forum for parenting. It would be more of a discussion than a class, focusing on different issues each time we meet…issues that all us mothers want and need to discuss. Things like how to help kids earn and manage money, how to set up a family mission statement, how to help kids be more excited about healthy eating, how to get kids more motivated about helping around the house, etc. Let me know if you have input.

All this makes me excited. (Especially since I’m gonna have like 40 hours on a plane to be thinking and planning it all out!)

p.s. be sure to check out the other classes at Blissful Living too. There are some great ones…
