Well, Utah was great.

Getting back into life here is not.

Man it’s hitting me in the face, but it does feel good to be home and unpacked and on to the last semester of school. Seriously, where did this school year go??

After being in Utah for a week I decided there are some great reasons to live there (aside from family and great friends of course):

1) no allergies
2) mountains (even after seeing them a billion times they still take my breath away)
3) Downeast Outfitters

Ok, just had to stick that in.

My only sad thing is that I forgot my right arm: my camera. Sure, I had my purse point-and-shoot, but I was sure in mourning without my real camera hanging around my neck.

The first day I got to hang with my “units” clad daughter (see last post) and some of my best friends from high school while Dave, jet-lagged and all, drove the other kids up. He is amazing but I’ve been instructed to NOT write so much about him in this blog so I’m trying to adhere to his wishes. These are some of my East High girls (except for one who went to our rival school…and we forgave her). Yes, we went to East High (of High School Musical fame…yep, we’re SO lucky). Man I’m so thankful for these friends.

And we can’t go to Utah without Hogle Zoo. This was St. Patrick’s Day…guess who got pinched…a LOT??

(BTW, Grace’s arm is fine…she was just enamored by my parent’s drawer stuffed full of ace bandages and slings and all that stuff that comes with raising nine kids.)I introduced my kids to Training Table where my friends and I hung out after pretty much every high school football/basketball game growing up. The kids lived up to my expectations being enamored by the phones you use to order your food. And seriously, the treasure chest is always a huge highlight for all the kids. My Dad keeps all sorts of crazy contraptions in there and they drool over getting him to open it and show them the goods. We hung out with my brother and his family (yep, the chicken boy in the front and the girl hanging on Grace…)
These are my kids’ bff cousins and they’re moving to New Zealand on April 1st. Man we’ll miss them!! (Yeah, Claire’s bff wasn’t so into the pictures once he took off his chicken boy outfit…)And could there be a cuter mom and dad?? (I love you guys!!)

But although these things are great, this is not why we went to Utah.

The real reason we went to Utah was to meet up mid-week with Dave’s family for a ski reunion. And since I took like 539 pictures on the slopes it’s gonna take me a little longer to get those pics. up. Boy howdy did we have fun.

Right now I have to run ten errands in one hour, make 4 phone calls and stop a fight so I gotta run.
