The good news for those who didn’t win (and I sure wish everyone could have) is that they are having a 20% off sale until May 31st. Click here for more info. Also, some people asked about ordering info. The email address to which you can make orders is on the right sidebar. Julie (my sis-in-law) is much more on top of emails than I am, so you should get a reply super quick. 😉

Enjoy and thanks so much for all the nice comments!

As for all the last-day hoopla I’m in between running to and from all kinds of celebrations with my trusty side-kick Lu (her last day was yesterday). I cannot believe my boy is going to transform into a high-schooler as of right this very minute (it’s noon). I also cannot believe that when I was giving him a hug last night he looked me almost directly in the eye. He’s like an inch shorter than me! (and that means a lot since I’m 6 feet tall). That fact sure made his eyes sparkle.

Oh man I love that I get to be his mom. And those girls too. Boy howdy. I know they’re not perfect. I know they have issues (especially in the hearing/listening category). I know I get on their cases a bunch (which often times they deserve:) But when I go watch them sleep each night my heart still skips a beat. After almost fourteen years of being a mother, that heart of mine overflows more than ever with love for who they are, and who they are becoming, and who they help me to be.

I feel so blessed to be their mother.

  1. Hi! I know you don't know me, but I'm a 14 year old girl from the Midwest and I've only been with your blog for two months and I love you and your family! I'm trying to "follow" Elle's blog, but I can't seem to find the follow button. Could you help me with that? Thanks! My blog is at tonikrebs.blogspot.com if you want to check it out!

  2. I ordered a necklace from your sis-in-law and she IS really on top of emails. She helped me figure out what I wanted for the price I wanted to spend. PERFECT! Can't wait for it to come in… giddy with excitement! Thanks for introducing her to us fellow bloggers/stalkers 🙂

  3. Just wait Shawni, it was just the other day my daughter was going into High School, now she graduates next week-end!!!! Went by way too fast, she is going to BYU-Idaho, she is excited and I am have terrible anxiety about her leaving the nest!! Even though I know that's the way it's suppose to be it is one of the hardest things, that LETTING GO!!!!

  4. I have 4 girls, too, and only 1 of them is school-age, but I am thrilled for summer vacation so they can all be together again! My oldest has often said she misses her sisters when she's at school! (Melts my heart!)

I feel like they teach me more than I could ever teach them. Especially patience! If we're 10 minutes late to a birthday party because one of my 3 year old's is convinced she can tie her own shoe, well then we're late. And having 4 little princesses, who truly believe they are princesses, definitely forces me to be patient!

  5. Thanks for answering all the questions. Just one more. Sorry! I was wondering how do you get your pictures to upload directly to lightroom instead of iphoto?

  6. I love your blog and those of your family because you are all over the country and travel so much. It's like a virtual vacation.

How do you manage all that travel?

I stole your map on the wall idea. We travel much less but were all born thousands of miles apart. Looking at the pins where were all have been amazes me. It's really nice having the visual.
