***This give-away is now closed. Thank you for all the nice entries! Click here to see the winners.

Last week my girls turned into fish.

You see, a sweet fellow blogger sent them each a “mermaid tail” to swim in, and they were over the moon about it.

They have had so much fun with those things. They have been used now by every girl cousin in the area and all the neighborhood kids.

They are what I’d call a huge hit around here.

This was about how Max feels about all the mermaid fever going on:

(I think he was jealous he didn’t get one too 🙂

So now I get to do a give-away. I get to help give three of those spiffy things away to cap off our summer with a bang.

To see more tails click on the “finfun” website here. The winners will be able to pick their tails from what is available on the finfun ebay site here (Custom orders and limited edition tails aren’t included in this giveaway).

There are three ways to enter to win:

{post edit note: you can do all three of these giving you three different chances to win…I don’t think I made that clear because some people have been just leaving all three in one comment which cuts down the chances. I’m just saying…}

1) Leave a comment.

2) “Like” Fin Fun Mermaid tails on Facebook (their page is here) and then come back and leave a comment that you did it.

3) Post about this giveaway on your own blog and then come leave a comment here with a link to your post.

So, three ways to win three different mermaid tails. And really, what little girls’ imagination wouldn’t love to run away with something like that?? I wish they had these when I was a kid!

I’ll announce the winner on Friday.

  1. Oh wow Shawni, your girls look like they are having so much fun in those cute mermaid tails!
I wonder they would be a way to get my 4 year old daughter over her water phobia??
I am heading over to the Facebook page now! Super cute!!

  2. I have two little girls that already think they are mermaids. And since I've never commented before, I must say that I love your blog and look forward to reading it every day. 🙂

  3. My daughter and her best friend play "mermaids" everyday. These tails would be so fun to give as a gift to both sweet girls. In fact, yesterday, they came up with a spell that could really turn them into mermaids.

  4. Oh my! My daughter would FLIP for one of these! Every time we swim, she tries her hardest to keep her little legs together, to look just like a mermaid! Love this!!

  5. OMG I love the mermaid tail, what a great idea! What kid would not want a tail, and honestly what adult would not want a mermaid tail. I would enjoy the tail just as much as a kid 🙂

  6. My daughter is mermaid obsessed as well. She is three and has been asking me to magically give her a tail or take her to the doctor to have one sewn on. Needless to say she would love this.

  7. I am so glad you posted this! My daughter wants one of these so bad she can't even stand it. 🙂 At least now I know where to buy one if I don't win!

  8. I had no idea that those exist! My daughter (age 4) has been wanting a mermaid tail for a year. The problem was that she wanted to swim in it and not just use it for dress ups. This is perfect for her.

  9. My daughter pretends she's Ariel everytime we go swimming in a pool or are at the beach. This mermaid tail would be the best thing ever for her!

  10. these would be a BIG hit around here! my daughter is doing cartwheels around the living room because she now thinks she is getting one. (poor girl!)

  11. Brilliant! I can't believe no one has thought of this before. My daughter would LOVE a mermaid tail………and I secretly want to try it out too:)

  12. So fun! My girls spent all summer swimming like mermaids-they would have loved some actual mermaid tails.
    I have my fingers crossed!

  13. I never do this, but my three year old would LOVE this! She already thinks she is a mermaid by swimming on the bottom of our 9ft deep pool and this just might be what we need to get through the rest of this dreadfully hot summer here in Mesa!

  14. They are so cute! I think if I won one, I'd give it to my 4 year old sister because she would just look adorable in it and love it to death! 🙂

  15. I would have loved these as a kid… we used to pretend we were mermaids all the time in the pool! Since I don't have any girls of my own I would love to gift this to my niece!

  16. My girls would all be in heaven! Especially my daughter Emmie, she is obsessed with mermaids and tells me all the time she wishes she could be one! Her birthday is coming up and this would be the perfect gift!

  17. oh my word! i would have given my left leg to have something like this growing up!!! i have 3 girls that would go crazy over this!!!! i didn't even know they existed?!

  18. After I showed my three girls the pictures of your girls' CUTE mermaid fins I asked them, “Would you like to own a set of those tails?” Then they excitedly replied, “YEESSSS…!”, “AJAAA…!” and “YEAHHH…!” After that they talked about how fun it would be to have mermaid tails. What a cute idea!

By the way, I LOVE your blog.

  19. My younger sister would have given her right arm for one of these things when she was little. As it is, she made herself a mermaid tail by cutting a pair of tights up the inside of each leg and then sewing them together leaving the feet for the fins.

Here's hoping that my little girl will get her very own mermaid tail to make her aunty jealous. Hee hee!

  20. i liked it on face book. i would love one of theese!!! Im 12, and ive been saving up for two of theese. one for me, and one for my sister. if you can consider me that would be great!
