I’m at the airport heading to Las Vegas for a national board meeting for American Mothers. I’m excited to be involved with all that we will get to talk about despite feeling a little bad for cutting in front of a few people in the airport security line to make the flight only to have it delayed (I did ask for permission of course). Sorry about that, fellow passengers…

Also, I backed into my in-law’s car the other night. I was a little distracted with Max sitting beside me begging to let him pleeeeeeaaaaase drive. I was a really good driving example that night.

Just thought I would share.

Love, Shawni

  1. Thanks for the chuckle today. And sorry about your MIL's car! Happy Birthday (belated) this week! You are a strength to so many women, and a true inspiration. I honestly don't know how you do all that you do. Blessings for a safe trip!

  2. I talked my daughter out of driving to school this morning. I said, "Are you sure you want to drive today during busy traffic, it's been a while since you've driven?", she thought about it and said no.
The only thing that didn't work in that scenario was that it was on the way to seminary, so there was no traffic, but she never caught on to my deception.

  3. Proof that even the greatest of people make mistakes! Love your blog! And I heard your parents speak up here at USU the other night. Great family. Must be somethin in the water 😉

  4. Bless your heart! You're just too awesome to be awesome ALL the time! Keep up the good work and have a swell time Vegas…and if you back into any cars out there, just remember…what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
