They asked me to say a few words a couple times over the course of the convention to which I was honored to accept.
I’m excited to be there because I always get inspired over all that deliberate motherhood stuff and I’m excited to see who they will choose as the next National Young Mother of the Year (and of course the new Mother of the Year too). I’ll have to pass on my sash…I really do have one and to prove it here you go:I wear it whenever I want my kids to obey me. They snap right into shape when I whip that thing out. (I wish). So thankfully I really don’t have to pass the actual sash on…
Anyway, I’m also really excited about this convention because aside from the big gala awards dinner and the speeches, and all that we did last year, American Mothers is doing a motherhood conference on Saturday called “Mom to Mom.”
And guess who else is going to be there with me? (along with a whole bunch of really inspiring mothers)
Yes, the one and only Pioneer Woman.
So the other day I got an email with this attachment and it made me a little bit giddy:
See up there at 11:15? And then look at 2:00.
It’s true, I am on the same agenda with Ree. And all those other people who sound really awesome too. (I’m not a TV watcher, but I bet that Alison Sweeney from The Biggest Loser will be pretty fun to meet as well…and I’ve heard wonderful things about the others too.)
Now if that’s not intimidating I don’t know what is. But luckily I only have like five minutes so I think I’ll survive.
Click HERE for more information and if you happen to be in the D.C. area on May 5th, come watch Ree and me speak together 🙂 (and all those other intimidating-I’m-sure-will-be-super-inspiring-people as well)
I’m sure she is going to want to be pen-pals after this little number. I don’t think she has much else going on in her life so we’ll probably be bosom-buddies:)
