Ok, so my sister and her business partner April have something new they are offering through Power of Moms. The motherhood retreats they offer are exceptional, but can’t logistically reach everyone who wants them. So they have made some of the parts of the retreats they have done into “virtual retreats.”

There are two parts to the retreats: 1) videos (one whole morning of a retreat) and 2) “Family Systems” which consists of three separate hour-long webinars (on the computer, sound with slide show about everything being talked about). These are the three topics: family legal system (helping kids learn to behave), family economic system (teaching kids about work and money), and family culture (building your family identity and traditions). Are those not some of the things every single mother on the planet struggles with and wants to improve on?

The “Family Systems” webinar comes with worksheets to help apply what you learn to your own unique family life.

I’m telling you, I’m sitting down with Dave and watching/listening to a couple of these puppies for one of our date-nights coming up. I need a little brush-up with every one of those categories.

The great news is that I get to give-away one FULL virtual retreat which includes all that stuff up above.

How’s that for exciting?

Here’s a little snippet to get the main idea of what the video portion consists of:
To Thrive from The Power of Moms on Vimeo.

And my very insightful sister Saydi talking about “Margins” is here:2nd Face of Overload from The Power of Moms on Vimeo.
(I REALLY need to re-listen to that one.)

Much more information and more snippets to review over HERE and HERE (two different parts).

There’s even a portion of those videos where me and my crooked mouth are featured talking about “Moments” and “Being Your Own Best Kind of Mom.” Now that’s exciting 🙂 (Especially the crooked mouth part.)

Oh, and my own mother is on there, and that is a serious treat.

Hurry and enter a comment to win one of these things that will help you grow into your own motherhood, and help you find more joy in this great journey we are on.

I’ll announce the winner on Friday, but if you simply cannot wait to see if you win or not, click HERE and go buy the retreat right now 🙂 I love that my sister wants to get these to everyone who wants them…including those who may not be able to afford them. This is their policy: “Our biggest goal is to help every mother out there get the training and support she needs to be the mom and person she wants to be. We do everything we can to make our high-quality offerings as affordable as possible and we’re always happy to work with people on price to get them to a Retreat – in person or virtual.”

Anyway, there you go. Enter your comment to win. I’m off to listen to my first webinar.

  1. love this idea- I have some areas I especially want to improve in and have a game plan for in this whole motherhood thing – this sounds like it would be so inspiring!!

  2. I have been seriously contemplating some of these issues and how to apply them better in my home. I LOVE how encouraging you are to mothers, and how you encourage all of us to be "deliberate". I want so badly to be just that. Thanks for doing a fantastic giveaway.

  3. This is great Shawni! I've been a member at Power of moms for a while now and would really love to go to a retreat. However, I'm from the Netherlands, so that's quite a trip for a weekend retreat. The virtual retreat, though, totally doable!! Thanks for hosting this!

  4. I attended the NH retreat last October and returned home inspired by both Saydie and Saran. It was an amazing experience. Slowly I have lost that feeling again and I would love to get it back. I travelled from MN so it isn't something I can do in the near future…sadly, because it was such a rewarding experience. I would LOVE to win this.

  5. I would love the chance to win this. I live in NZ and was disappointed our budget didn't stretch far enough to include travel to Australia for their retreats there. Thanks for the chance to win.

  6. I really want to go to a retreat but this is the next best thing. My mothering skills could use some improvement!

What great reminders I learned just by watching the snippets about NOT BEING AVALIABLE AS A MOTHER AT TIMES and What I need during the week to THRIVE. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU

  10. Love the idea of this! I have been checking the Power of Mom website to see when their next retreat is that's close by, but a virtual retreat could mean that I get to "go" sooner! ~gina

  23. YES PLEASE!
The Power of Moms and blogs like yours have been such an influence on my life while transitioning from a career oriented lifestyle to trying my hardest to be an in-the-moment, inspired and deliberate new mom.
I live far far away in Nova Scotia and would LOVE to have the chance for myself (and probably a lot of my friends) to soak up some POWER!

  24. Oh, what a brilliant idea. I was unable to make the retreat on the Gold Coast, Australia in March so this would be a beautiful prize.

  25. I love the virtual retreat idea! Gives everyone a great chance to experience the Power of Moms retreats without actually being away from their family.

  26. I actually happened upon this just last week and the snippets were an answer to prayers. Things have been much better around here. I would LOVE to attend one of these but even the virtual retreat isn't in our budget right now so I would love to win this.
    Thanks for the opportunity!

  27. I love what your sister is doing, I'd love any help I can get to be a better mother. I have been anxiously waiting for the May retreat to open up for registration-but now I can't make that date in Utah. So virtual would.be such a blessing to my family 🙂

  28. I so need this! I am a mom to two little boys and after listening to that little bit about thriving my husband and I are having a meeting tonight to talk about it! This is so amazing, you women are so amazing and great examples!

  29. ITS MY LUCKY DAY!!! I was just trying to convince my husband last night that I need a virtual retreat or we need to fly me out to my home sweet home-Utah! This virtual retreat give-away is calling my name! And lets be honest, I'm desperately in need of some Mommy power:)

  30. I would LOVE this. I am constantly trying to figure out how to be a better mom, how to create systems that make things run more smoothly in my home, how to inspire my kids, and I have learned SO MUCH of this from your family. I have a heart for mothers mentoring daughters (I call it PRINCESS POWER TRAINING), and the stronger I can be in my own role as mother, the more I can give to other moms!

  31. What a generous opportunity. Our budget is, like so many others, too meager to afford these great learning opportunities at the present time. Thanks for the giveaway.

  32. Shawni, I'm clearly not entering the giveaway, but I wanted to thank you so much for all you do to help other mothers know about The Power of Moms. And you do not have a crooked mouth. I don't know what you're talking about . . .. Love you.

  33. This is so great, I've been dying to go to a retreat but living in Alaska doesn't make that possible right now and with three boys three and under I could use all the help and support I can get!

  34. Recently there was a retreat in Brisbane and Sydney Australia. Unfortunately the travel and timing stopped me from being able to attend, but even knowing something like this exists is inspiring.
I read your blog because it's inspiring. I can't even begin to imagine how much there is to gain from such a great opportunity.

  35. I was so dissapointed that I wasn't able to attend one of the retreats held here in Australia. I'm hoping next time they'll make it over to our western coast of the country. This would be an amazing blessing to receive. Thank you Shawni and Power of Moms for offering it.

  36. i would LOVE to win this! i am struggling with my spirited 3 year old & my 6 year old little girl has decided to give me a run for my money at the same time! yikes! fingers crossed & thanks for the chance!

  37. Wow! This would be so awesome! I have a cute little six month old too young to leave that long, but to wiggly to join me at a conference. So the webinar would be perfect!

    Thank you!

  38. YAY! I have been hoping that Power of Moms would do something like this! Now I don't have to wait to be able to go to one of the retreats! SO happy!

  39. This is just what I have been looking for. I want powerful ideas on being not only a better mom, but on taking time for myself and feeling O.K. about it. Thank you for always being an inspiration to me with your blog.

  44. Living the other side of the pond in Devon, I'm not likely to be able to go to a retreat any time soon. I'm a young mum of 4 and loved when they were all little. 45. Just listened to the short video clips and would love to hear more! Thanks for posting a giveaway. I'm always inspired after reading you and your sister's blog!

  46. I would LOVE to go to a retreat. But alas 4, 2 and 1 month with a husband who works 6 days a week and is quite involved in any off time and with family 1800 miles away does not make that possible in this season of my life. (No, it's not a sob story, just my life and I wouldn't trade it for the world.) This sounds perfect for me!

  47. I just watched the clips and boy would I ever LOVE to win this. My family could really benefit from this! I enjoy reading your blog, your attitude on life and motherhood is inspiring to me. Thank you
