We waited for Max to go see the temple lights too.
…and got some hot cocoa to keep us warm on the way.

I mean, how else do we combat these fifty degree temps?! 🙂  Ha.  We are wimpy as can be here in the desert.

Do you think that girl up there likes/adores her big brother??

The temple visitor’s center has just been remodeled so we went to check it out.

The kids and I had been texted pictures like this from friends because I guess I am part of the new “I’m a Mormon” display in there.

So we had to go check out that…see me up there behind Grace’s head behind that pillar?

The sister missionaries turned on my video speedy quick which was a little on the embarrassing side:)

But the kids enjoyed laughing at me…especially that nice expression up there.

Here’s my little “spot” in case you’d like to check it out…

Love that beautiful spot and the chance to ponder on what Christmas is really about.

  1. Shawni, I LOVED watching your "spot." It was fun to hear your voice, it's not how I imagined it. Now I feel like you are my friend and I have a better glimpse of your "real" life. I have been coming to your blog for several years and I learn so much from you. Thanks for sharing your life, and your love of motherhood and the gospel. If we were neighbors, I am sure we would be friends. If you are ever in the Manti, Utah area in June, come see the Manti Pageant and maybe we could meet. My sons and I are in it every year and meet people from all over. Happy New Year!

  3. Hi Shawni,
The bloke in the red jacket below your picture is Jeremy Dick from the Reading England stake. (Charity will probably recognise him, as she served in my stake on her mission)

I love the way Lucy is looking at Max, they have a very special bond. x

  4. I read your blog everyday, and absolutely love it! It's so uplifting, and has led to me to the Gospel, for which I am so grateful. Thanks for sharing bits and pieces of your life with us!
