I wanted to throw out a simple gift idea I used at Christmas before I forget. Super simple, but just a way to show my appreciation and I like to keep these kinds of ideas here.

Sometimes I look around at the things people do to serve and help others and I get so overwhelmed with the goodness that abounds.

At church I work with such an awesome group of women to put together activities for the Relief Society. The Christmas dinner was a lot of work this year. Filled with coordinating and arranging, and man, I loved working with these women to pull it off.

I never want to lose the art of women working together, there’s so much power in that!

Anyway, I wanted to give them something from my heart to show my gratitude, so this is what I did.

I got a few more of the bowls we used for this gift a couple years ago. I added salt like we did back then. I also added a couple chocolates.

Then I wrote this little note and tied them all up with come bows.

Easy peasy right? Well, as easy peasy as it could get with my whole counter spilling over with other kinds of gifts for so many different “groups.” Lucy’s teachers who make me cry, friends, neighbors. All those people my heart throbs in gratitude for and I WISH I could really spill that out in a way they could understand the depth of my gratitude.

I hope they felt that gratitude in the small tokens we gave out in all kinds of different areas this year.
