Easy Baked Brie with Sweet Pepper Jelly

You guys. My friend made us some baked brie with sweet pepper jelly a month or so ago and I fell deeply in love. This recipe is the perfect mixture of savory and sweet. And the best part?

It is a cinch to whip up.

Plus, it only takes three ingredients.

Baked Brie Ingredients

Yes, that’s for real, you only need THREE things. Sure there are four in this pic, but it’s just showing two different kinds of jam options.

Pepper Jelly

The one on the right below is “Pepperlane Sweet Heat.” You can get it at some grocery stores and also on Amazon. That’s the one my friend used when I fell in love. But the one on the left? Trader Joes. And I have to say, it’s a pretty great option and a little cheaper.

Chopped Onion

Caramelized onions add so much savor! To caramelize you just put the chopped onions in a pan with some butter or olive oil and cook very slowly until they brown up and become so deliciously fragrant.

Brie Cheese

Brie cheese is so good! It comes wrapped up in a round container. It has a soft white outer layer that is edible, and super soft mild cheese inside. I’ve only used the “double cream” kind and it’s delicious.

  4. Top with caramelized onions and about 1/2 of the jar of jelly. This is what the recipe calls for but I'd recommend more like 3/4 of the jar!

  5. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes, then cover and cook for 10-15 minutes more. If not bubbling, uncover and cook until visibly bubbling and hot.

Notes

It’s good to have more firm crackers in order to scoop up the cheese. I love this brand.
