We dropped off Claire at the airport and got to hit the tip of the iceberg of all our catch-up work for a day and a half before I had to leave town. But we got a special thing that night…
The kids got us tickets for a comedy show (Seinfeld & Gaffigan stand-up duo) for Christmas. I thought it was so thoughtful of them. They know Dave is a sucker for comedy and we “grew up” in our early married years with Seinfeld.
I felt so much love from those kids on that special date into the city together with my David. We have been like ships passing in the night lately so it was a good reminder how much I love him.
I couldn’t believe that literal SEA of people there to laugh together with these two.

I love Jim Gaffigan. He is one of the only comedians I ever paid attention to. My brother sent me a clip about homebirth, shortly after I had my first homebirth.
