Starting tomorrow until Saturday, there will be this awesome boutique going on in town: …and they’ll have “A Mother’s Book of Secrets” (the book my Mom and I wrote) for sale there!

I know how great this boutique is because they already did this same type of thing last month and my girls and I had so much fun shopping there. SO many great, interesting gifts from cool frames (the frame guy there made my big chunky frame on my wall right now with this standing picture in it…he does such a great job) to necklaces and head bows and homemade salsa and baked goods.

And I’m excited because the wonderful ladies running this thing have agreed to have “A Mother’s Book of Secrets” there at the checkout for anyone who wants to buy it. It’ll be the online price of 20% off ($16) but without the shipping costs added to it.

And, well, this would be a good gift to add to your list for those special mothers in your life at the same time as you will be adding to the “I Love Lucy Project” cause. THANK YOU for all the help on that so far, guys!

Love, Shawni

p.s. Check out Elle’s blog here to see some of the cute pictures she took last week. She and her friends have decided to start their own photography business. I just have to say, I had nothing to do with this (except to agree to drive them to this field and give a couple tips on post editing)…all this entrepreneur stuff must be coming fully from her Dad.

  1. Hi Shawni! So glad to reconnect with you.

I was reading with great interest about your sweet little Lucy because I too know about these genetic challenges, and my heart goes out to you. My three boys all have a rare genetic liver disease called Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. It has become a driving force in my life since my youngest was diagnosed with it at birth 2 1/2 years ago. Because it is genetic, we had our other three children tested and discovered that my other two boys also have the disease. It is a challenge, and a daunting one.

I admire how you are facing Lucy's diagnosis head on and really taking charge. You are an inspiration. I'd love to talk to you more about it sometime.

Hope all is well for you and yours!

    xoxo
    Wendy
