Yesterday was Grace’s birthday. And because we actually got to BE with her for part of the big day, I’m a day late on the big birthday wishes.
But you guys! This girl turned TWENTY-FIVE years old yesterday.
Do you know what that means?
I’ve had this delightful creature buoying me up for twenty-five whole years.

Looks like I need a little bit of that enthusiasm in my life, right?
Well, this girl brought it, from day one.

Some of the Things I Love Most About Grace
From the time she was a baby she brought some spunk.
From her continual colic and reflux to her delightful and exuberant childhood to her thoughtful and sincere adulthood, she’s got the whole package. If you want to see pictures of her growing up I shared a lot when she graduated into adulthood back here.
Grace is the one who helped me lean into being so open about so many things. She will talk about anything under the sun and is the best conversationalist.
She is my hype girl and makes everything from running errands to cleaning a toilet fun.
She’s a hard worker. And the best chef. There’s no one I’d rather hang out in the kitchen with.
If you want someone to nurture you, find this girl and cling to her. From her nieces to her siblings she is a builder and a lover.
Grace believes. She believes in goodness, and in people.
She believes in me and her siblings and her friends.
And she believes in God. And shows she loves Him through her actions.
She is one of my best friends in the whole wide world.

What We Did To Bring in Her Birthday
Abby and I decorated her garage.

This crew came up from Provo for a sleepover.

And cake and games, of course.

A morning hike with eye patches, because you know, birthdays call for that. (Grace’s boyfriend is the best btw.)

Breakfast joined by Abby and the girls.

It was so fun to celebrate together!

Love you forever Miss Grace Jam.

Thank you for making life ten million times better.

Happy Belated Birthday to Grace. I’m so glad that she had a great day. x 🎉🎈🎁🎂🥳
I love how you celebrated her birthday together & made her feel special. All of you are brilliant at this.
Just curious tho, how do you cope with doing a hike in hot weather?
The main reason I’m asking is because in the UK we’ve been having a heatwave for the past few days, including a red weather warning, & the last thing I’d want to do is to go on a hike. I would be so hot & bothered.
Grace has thee amazing hair & as she gets older she is even more like you.
Oh we were in Utah, and hiking in Utah was so good compared to the desert where it’s 108 degrees! We were up in the mountains with lots of shade (and even needed jackets for part of it!). When it does get really hot though, we have to go really early in the morning and that really helps!
I do love Grace’s hair too, and thanks for the compliment that we look like each other!
XOXO
Happy Birthday, Grace—aka Ms. Shawnie’s twin (atleast for me)! 🎉 Wishing you your best year yet, filled with happiness, good health, success, and countless blessings.
