This is Grace.

One of my jobs for spring break (which we are in the middle of right now) is to write about how I make pizza.

My Mom loves when I make it because it makes the whole house smell so good (and it IS so good!)
This is another recipe I learned in my foods class at school (potato soup is back HERE).
1/2 c. plus 2 tbs. warm water
1 1/2 tsp. yeast
1 1/2 tsp. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
Measure flour into a medium bowl and set aside.
In large bowl add yeast, salt, sugar and oil.
Run water until warm but not burning hot.  Measure it out and pour into mixing bowl.
Add yeast to warm water mixture.  Mix until dissolved.
Add flour, 1/3 cup at a time.
Knead on a lightly floured surface for 3-5 minutes.
Spray cooking spray into a plastic bag, put in dough and close the top (but don’t seal it).
After the dough rises,  roll it out big enough to fit on a pizza pan.

Spread pasta/pizza sauce on the dough.
You can put garlic salt on it to make it more tasty if you want.
Add up to 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese on top.
Add any other toppings you want.
Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Let your family eat it all up.

  1. Grace , I love your guest posts, The pizza look delicious. I have one question, what kind of yeast do you use? Fast rising? Thanks! Heidi
