I wrote about my feelings about Halloween this year, and all those cherished memorized moments from years-gone-by in my heart.

But this is how it looked.

This party was from a few days before, but hey, keeping it categorized together…

Not pictured: the Halloween traditional dinner with soup and cornbread with our neighbors at our house before we headed out to hand out candy and drinks.

Lucy didn’t dress up this year. She went to a party but came home quickly feeling a little lonely in that sea of kids. Which is always hard. But she DID turn in her very first college application that night. So yes, it was a good Halloween.

Go Lu!

  1. Where is she applying? My cousin lives in Utah and has 7 children and is blind. She’s written stories for the friend. Look up Rebekah Jakeman. Anyway, if you want to get in touch with her sometime, I’m sure Becky would love to talk with Lucy. Living blind is not easy. And trying to go to college with that struggle is also not easy. Becky is a woman with vision beyond sight. I was her reader our freshman year in college. I’m constantly amazed at her faith, courage, relationship with God, incredible grit, and stamina in the midst of a lot of struggle. Let me know, and I can try to hook you two up with each other the next time you’re in Utah. I think Lucy and Becky could become friends and Becky might be a trusted mentor and/or friend for Lucy.

    1. I would love to have Becky’s contact information! I think I have your email information, I’ll try emailing you there. THANK YOU!
      xoxo

  2. Murphy looked so cute. Was she someone from a film or something?

    I like your dungarees.

I love how excited most people in the US get about Halloween. I can’t see the drinks thing happening in the UK. Lovely idea tho.
