My Brother’s 3-Day Renewal Retreat in the Swiss Alps

I’ve talked about my brother Tal a bunch on this blog. He is 6’9″, lives in Switzerland with his incredible wife and daughter, and is a deep thinker.

He always has been.

Tal knows how to challenge himself and try new things. He loves poetry. And his family motto is “create good stories” which I love with all my heart. Because, after all, isn’t life just a series of creating our stories? Choosing to hold onto the good and learning from the not-so-good? Tal has a Masters degree in Applied Positive Psychology and has applied his learnings with his family and as a Swiss-based consultant in global business development. Plus, he wrote a book. AND he has a podcast called, you may guess it, “Create Good Stories.”

I mean. Pretty awesome, right?

A 3-Day Retreat in the Swiss Alps

One thing I love most about Tal is that he is a dreamer. And he has dreamed up this amazing Flims Forum, a 3-day retreat in the Swiss Alps from October 1-3.

And guess what? I get to go to this thing!

So can you!

We’re all invited to gather for meaningful discussions and get inspired in the middle of the gorgeous Swiss Alps.

(And it’s more affordable THIS WEEKEND before pricing goes up, check out all the details on Tal’s website. If you’re interested you can fill out this document to be in touch with Tal directly.)

Flims is the town where Tal’s wife Anita grew up, and it is stunning. You can see pictures of our first time visiting with all our girls when Max was on his mission…that’s when we fell in love with Switzerland. Here are a couple to get an idea.

Anyway, it’s just gorgeous and I’m so excited to go back. Especially because Tal and Anita know how to “do Switzerland” in a way that is glorious but not touristy. They know the best food, the best landscapes, and the best adventures! One of my favorite adventures ever was when we took our married kids to visit.

Yep, that’s us. Sorry about a bit of digression here, but this is just a good example to show that the parts of Switzerland Tal shares are pretty incredible.

And the conversations amidst all this beauty are going to be epic, with incredible speakers all lined up.

About the Forum in Flims, Switzerland

From Tal’s website:

“Join us for three days and two nights in the Swiss Alps as we explore some of Eastern Switzerland’s most remarkable outer landscapes while reflecting on our own inner landscapes.”

“Through mountains, forests, rivers, poetry, guided reflection, meaningful discussion, and inspiring presentations, participants will be invited to slow down and do the important work of looking within. Together, we will explore how the landscapes of our lives—the people who have shaped us, the experiences we’ve lived, the joys we’ve celebrated, and the struggles we’ve endured—have formed who we are today.”

Tal has orchestrated this forum during one of the twice-a-year natural phenomena when the rising sun shines through the hole in the mountain range and lights up a church in the village of Elm below. Because that’s just how Tal thinks. Here’s a photo from this article that explains better than I can.

Then we’ll experience Switzerland (Lake Cauma, the spectacular Rhine Gorge, and parts of the award-winning Trutg dil Flem, take the FlemXpress high into the mountains and experience the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona, visit Switzerland’s “Grand Canyon”) and eat amazing Swiss food.

All this while being led in discussions by amazing presenters, all about our inner selves and how to figure out life a little bit better.

And a little deeper.

My most exciting thing? Going back to Tal and Anita’s 200-year-old “hut” on the mountains of Switzerland as part of the itinerary.

Here’s the last time we were there with our married kids.

We’ll have a great discussion there in all that beauty during this retreat.

Ok, I could go on and on, but for now just wanted to take a minute to extend this invitation to blog readers.

It is short notice, I know. This is happening in less than a month. But there are actually some pretty great flight deals right now, believe it or not.

And if you’ve had a hankering to visit Switzerland, this is going to be a pretty incredible way to experience it.

All while getting renewed…trying to understand our “inner landscapes” as we experience all this incredible “outer landscape” beauty.

You can find out all the good stuff and sign up by heading to Tal’s blog for more information.

Remember you can sign up any time, but the early discounted registration ends on Sunday!

Sending out love.

And excitement!!
XOXO
