I wrote about Lucy on her big birthday back HERE, but here’s how it all went down.

We have to preface this birthday account with a little surprise to start off the day:

How was that for a good surprise? (Abby arrived later in the afternoon too…double the fun.)

That was the best birthday present for sure.

We had our traditional b-day breakfast together.

Love that Grace always remembers everyone’s birthdays and writes them the nicest notes. Love that this one spilled out with some hearts of her love:)

We sent Lu off to school and we got to have Max accompany us for Claire’s volleyball tournament.

Lu had a bunch of birthday visitors…here are a few:

Lucy is so lucky to have so many great people in her life.

We had cake and ice cream:

Lucy wanted me to make a cake that she swears I made before but I swear I had no idea what she was talking about: something with cookie dough baked in layers with brownie dough.

Luckily my friend had a recipe that fit the bill.

Here you go if you want to try it…it was pretty good, I must admit.

Lucy knows how to make things happen, and she maneuvered a game night with her friends to finish off the celebration.

Dave orchestrated and they played “One and Done,” which is always a pretty big hit (instructions for that over HERE near the end of the post).

The consequence for the loser was jumping in the pool this time.

It was a great way to wrap up a pretty successful birthday! I was so happy Lucy went to sleep with a big smile on her newly-turned-fifteen-year-old sweetie face.
