You know this book that I talked about back here?
Well, the publisher has given me TEN books to give-away. And I’m not even kidding at all about that little fact.

So, here’s the deal: Leave a comment for a chance to win. If you want two chances to win, click here and “like” my parents’ site on Facebook and then come back and leave another comment that you did just that. (They are just starting to take Values Parenting into cyberspace so they only have this Joy School page so far, but check out too…SO much good parenting info. there!)

For a THIRD chance to win (and this one is more in depth but just thought I’d throw it out there since I get ten books to give away), I want to just make people aware of my parent’s other book that is coming out in September. I seriously cannot wait. I think it’s something we all need. It generated a bunch of enthusiasm when I wrote about it back here and made me realize that others feel the exact same way I do: kids in this generation tend to feel entitled to so much more than what’s good for them…and we’re unknowingly training them to feel that way.) You know what’s so great about this book? We can pre-order it! And it’d be awesome to get tons of people pre-ordering. Read more about how to pre-order and why they are trying to get people to pre-order here. Then if you do end up pre-ordering a book (pre-orders get a 33 percent discount), then come back and enter one more comment for another chance to win. No, I’m not getting paid for this (although maybe I should 🙂 I just really, really believe in what this book is going to tell us!

I will pick TEN winners on Thursday morning so that there still MIGHT be time to get it in time for Mother’s Day (unfortunately I can’t promise anything, darn it). Because seriously, who wouldn’t want this book for Mother’s Day? SO many great ideas enclosed in that little puppy.

Good luck!

This give-away is now closed. See the winners here. Thanks for entering!

  13. This would be wonderful to read right now as we are entering the teenage years with our oldest! May God continue to bless you all. Much love.

  14. Just "liked" the Joy School Facebook. My oldest is in Joy school right now so I look forward to getting some Facebook posts from Joy School.

  15. Also, pre-ordered the book coming out in the Fall. Just what we are needing in our family. My 7 year old left his bus and very nonchalantly asked if I could buy him another one. I told him he would have to earn it as his brother was about to grow into the coat, he wasn't responsible with his coat and his attitude that I could just easily go buy another. I pointed to his dad across the room and said you dad goes to work every day so we can have clothes, food, trips etc…..

  16. I would love to read a more recent book by your parents. I've borrowed my moms copies that she bought when she was my age.

  17. I would love a chance to win one of these books. I want to buy a copy of the new book too…it looks great!! (I'm actually not a parent, but I am a nanny and studying to be a teacher – I just think it is so important to start learning early!)

  18. I have followed your parents for years (I'm not saying how old I am!!) and love their philosophy and ideas. This book would be great to use with our children and grandchildren.

  19. Sure love your blog! I appreciate that you make it "real." We are all human and have our frailties and our own unique strengths and weaknesses.

  20. Oh my goodness I want this book so bad. I was going to buy it a couple of weeks ago but decided that I should finish reading the other books I have that are written by your parents. (Also I've been pinching my pennies lately and it's not on Amazon for cheaper used prices yet)

I can't wait to see you and your mom at time out for Women in Oklahoma in a couple of weeks.

  21. Okay I just liked your parents on facebook for my second chance. I'm debating on whether to pre order for a third chance. Like I said I'm pinching pennies, but you can't put a price on learning how to be a good parent right?

Can you tell I'm a fan? Honestly I can't go to your blog. I just get depressed. You are beyond Super women. I'm still just trying to figure out how to feed, cloth and shelter, let alone, have any talents, hobbies, blogs, workout, etc. You are amazing in every way! Love you girl!

  30. I would love to have a copy. I struggle with being a parent of 2 small children who are learning two languages from both parents.

  31. Already bought the book. Just wanted to say THANK YOU to your parents! We are working on the "Redo" and "Forgiveness Bench" (actually a couch at our house) ideas. There are so many great ideas but we are starting on just a few and focusing on getting them down pat. These two ideas alone have created so much more PEACE in our home….and who can't use a LOT more of that in their lives!
