Today, just in time for the perfect Christmas gift, I get to give away one of my sister-in-laws beautiful sterling silver necklaces.  WDSC_2624webDSC_2672 The winner will be able to choose up to four sterling silver discs (round or square) to put on their necklace with whatever they want written on them.  Perfect for kids’ names (like the one I always, always wear):photo (1)(let’s use our imagination and pretend that’s super clear) OR, if you’re choosing a new “one word” for 2013 what a great way to display and remind yourself of that. More ideas for what you can do with it on her website here: So go ahead and enter a comment to be in the running to win one of these beauties… I’ll announce the winner on Friday morning.

  1. I love your blog. I'm a new reader and already bookmarked so many wonderful ideas. The encouragement to push hard in my mother role to our 5 kidis the best. Ive admired these necklaces for several years and would love to win one.

  2. I had a necklace with my two boys' names on it – Cannon and Carter. I NEVER took it off! I just had a baby in September, so I need a new one that reads: Cannon, Carter, and Christian. 🙂

  3. Absolutely gorgeous! I would love to win to give to my sister in law as her Christmas present since she just had her first baby.
    Merry Christmas enjoy the season!

  4. My sister just told me about your blog. Her husband calls it "the blog of the girl that you are trying to live your life through." We laughed about it, but really I love reading your thoughts about kids, life, etc. Thanks for sharing! Oh, and beautiful necklace.

  5. You can never have too many of these adorable necklaces–I want to give one to my girlfriend who is expecting her 3rd girl and is going through breast cancer treatments at the same time. She is my hero right now!

  6. So beautiful. This past week, I tried my hand at making this type of necklace. It was hard. Ha! Needless to say, it takes practice, a good eye and some "artsy" talent. Would love to win.

  7. I would love to be able to give this to my Mom! Money's super tight this year (newlywed 🙂 ) and it would be such a blessing.
Love you blog so much. 🙂

  11. I have recently started reading your blog and it is wonderful! So many great ideas and you are so down to earth. The necklace is beautiful…your sister-in-law does gorgeous work!

  12. My sister-in-law at the ripe age of 23 had her first babies. A set of boy twins and one died the day he was born. Her visiting teachers gave her a necklace with both boys names on it just like this with an extra piece that says "always in my heart". I never see her without it… such a beautiful gift and this looks like like it!

  13. I have always wanted one of these… I am not a big jewelry wearer but this would get used every day!
I love your blog, btw, it always inspires me to be a little better.

  14. I commented and then it showed up twice so I deleted one but now both are gone. Let me try again.

I love these necklaces! Simply beautiful! My fingers are crossed!

    Thanks for the opportunity!!

  15. With baby #4 on the way in April, this would be amazing! Been reading your blog since I saw you at TOFW in Spokane,WA a couple years ago…love the blog. Such an inspiration! Thank you!!!

  16. My sister inlaw just had her third baby on Dec. 1st The first two children she had have autism and she is an amzing mom to them. When this new baby came they found out right away his has serious heart problems and if the operation goes ok he might not be home for Christmas. If I win. I'd like her childrens names put on them to make a tough time maybe a little sweeter with a beautiful necklace she can wear even though she can't be with all three children at once she can wear the necklace. Thanks~

  17. I have been following your blog for quite some time now, I am a single mom and your inspriation and wisdom really help me a lot with how I want to raise my own children. Thank you for being such a great example to me.

  18. I would love to win this necklace! This is the sort of thing that would be a perfect gift for the doula that helped me through the labor and birth of my first baby this year! I'm not sure which words I would use on the necklace but they would be words that described just how special she is! She has seen so many women (and their husbands) through such an amazing experience!

  19. Oh, I have wanted a necklace with my children's names since I had my first daughter 5 years ago. Now, I have 3 little girls, but still no necklace 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway! Love your blog, SO much!

  20. I've looked at those types of necklace before and think they're beautiful. I can't justify buying one myself though and have no one who would buy one for me, so my only hope is to win one…. 🙂

  21. The necklace is beautiful!

I started reading your blog about a week ago and cannot tell you how much you have inspired me! I think I was a pretty ok mom before but you have given me so many ideas on how to be even more 'on purpose.'

Thank you for sharing all that you do! You are really making a difference!

  22. Oh my goodness I love these and I just think my 4 girls names would look adorable on them. Molly, Annie, June and Clover…I will cross my fingers that I win! BTW you are incredible.

  23. Um count me in!!! I love it! And totally love the idea of the word. It would help me decide on a word much quicker!!!

    Thanks for the chance!

  24. Funny how you all of a sudden have SO many comments, while normally you have a lot less. However, I'll jump on the bandwagon and leave a comment too 😉 Nothing beats a chance to win a beautiful necklace!

  25. These look just like The Vintage Pearl's designs! I would love to win one for my daughter, who won one for me (from there) a few years ago! Thank you for this chance for someone, and for your wonderful, inspirational blog!

  30. I {love, love, love} the idea of having my 2013 "one word" on a necklace. I already have my word chose and what a great daily reminder it would be to have it around my neck to 'see' (that's my one word, by the way) every day.
oooohhhh, I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed 🙂

  31. What a great idea! I'm about to have my fourth little baby next month, so it would be the perfect way to welcome her to the family…and a good way to keep my kids close to my heart!

  33. A dear friend of mine is coming upon the first anniversary of the death of her 7 year old. He was born with only one eye, and many health problems . I have been pondering a gift to give her to remember him. I would love to honor her with a necklace with his name on it and the names of her other children. Look at her blog. It will inspire you and touch your heart.

  34. Beautiful necklace! Being an army wife I would love to have this close to my heart since we often spend long months and, years apart.

  35. Wow. I'd love this. I have six kids I'd love hanging around my neck. And I have the same word year after year….waiting to master it…..along with another word I keep in mind as I go throughout the year. Thank you!!!

  36. Thank you for the chance to have one of this. They look timeless and elegant. Love them! Ps. I met your mom the other day. Your parents over in the same building as my mother!

  37. Thanks for keeping this blog up and running. You and your family have been great examples to me as I raise my family. Sometimes all we need is someone to show us a new way of doing things, to inspire a little creativity, and to teach us positive insight that may differ from how our own families have always done things.
Please put me in the drawing – I'd love one of those necklaces!
