This is my new favorite picture:
I like that it captures Bear Lake…Grace begging for the boat to come get her, warmth, swimsuits and relaxation.

But my favorite part is if you look at Lucy’s right arm.

She’s not phased in the least that someone went ahead and buckled up that life jacket right over her chubby little arm. She’s just ready to have a great day on the boat, with or without access to her right arm.

Love that girl.

She’s a little confused as to when we’re going home. She has gone from stating over and over and over like a broken record that she’s now ready to go home, to just calling our cabin our “new house” and being at peace with that.

  1. I just love your family…wish they were mine! (not really, I am in love with my own) I'm just impressed with you/them especially when you get REAL!

  2. I would have to say it's my favorite too….she is perfect!

Madigan calls Ronald McDonalds house "our House". 🙁 we'll be in bed at home and she'll say "I wanna go home." It breaks my heart that she isn't as comfortable with HOME!!!

    It too shall pass….

    valley + Madigan

  3. I would have completely missed it if you hadn't pointed it out.
But doesn't it show great faith and restraint? Faith that that is the way it's supposed to be worn and restraint from freaking out about it. I would have freaked out if someone would have strapped my arm down like that. Cute little polka dot suit on Lu as well.

  4. LOL!!! Oh Shani. She is so adorable. I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't said anything. So true about us mothers knowing our kids. How sweet is she. Not one complaint about being restrained, just as long as she gets to go out in the water. LOL! TOo cute. I love it.

  5. oh I wouldn't have noticed! that is too cute her arm suck in there!

adorable, wish we had warm weather here but not long for us till spring arrives!

  6. Oh my goodness, I laughed so hard I almost fell off my chair! We took our little munchins boating on Saturday and I found my little 17 month old hiding, trying to get her life jacket off…she really didn't like it.

  7. Just came down out of the mountains from the cabin we were staying at near Bear Lake. We had so much fun! The last night we were there, my husband and I took our kids to Picleville Playhouse. IT WAS SOOOOO MUCH FUN! We saw "Bandito Rides Again" and I don't think I've ever seen my husband laugh so hard!

  8. Definitely captures the essence of summer! I didn't even notice Lucy's arm strapped in to the vest until you pointed it out. Love it!
