the ranch

A couple weeks ago we got to go here:
And we got to soak in stuff like this:

It takes my breath away, all that green.

There’s nothing like getting up to the mountains…especially when you live smack-dab in the middle of the desert. It’s like all the green quenches your thirst.

On top of all the green enjoyment we got to horseback ride:

We fished:

The kids did pranks to each other the whole time…boys against the girls.

I can’t believe this is the only picture I got of the whole ordeal:The boys are cleaning up the piles of salt and sugar they sprinkled all over the girls’ beds…and throughout their suitcases.

But the Moms got in the best prank of all when we went and drew mustaches and beards on each child’s face while they slept when we finally got around to heading to bed at 1 or 2 in the morning.

We got them so good and we were laughing SO hard. The only problem is we used really washable markers and they washed them off before we could get pictures.

We should have used those Sharpies after all. Darn!

We did the zipline:…and the electric swing:

We ate s’mores like they were going out of style:

But the best thing we got to soak in while we were up there were good friends. Love these guys.
