There is something so satisfying about Saturday chores I tell you. Especially when you finally get a weekend to really dig right in. That’s how we felt last weekend.
You see, this happened:

Can you see the back of that wall falling off below that bridge? Yes, it had some problems and a guy was trying to fix it but the whole thing fell right into the pool.
Yep, it looked like this:

And the bottom of the pool looked like this:

Which necessitated an impromptu scuba adventure.

I mean, we hadn’t been scuba diving in way too long. Ha!

That guy removed all that junk. Pretty awesome.

Meanwhile Lu and I got our Thankful Tree off to a good start:

And I finished off my flower garden I had been working my tail off to get shaped up.
We had some watering problems we had to dig in and fix, so it went from this to this:

To this:

Oh I sure hope those puppies will grow!
I also installed these new lights in the game room on our special wall:

…with my brother’s help while wearing a headlamp trying to get instructions from him on FaceTime. Thank you Josh!!
And last but not least, we finally, after ten years of a very problematic shower floor, got it redone.

Ok, *we* did not do this, but we were sure good cheerleader supports for this awesome guy who came and did it for us.

Hooray!
Phew. That felt good. Now let the real races begin for wrapping up all the Thanksgiving/Turkey Trot prep this weekend.
Happy weekend everyone!
Omg, I really felt for the pool… Was the pool floor damaged with the tiles that feel on it? I hope it didn’t and I hope y’all managed to fix it!
There’s always so much to be done when it comes to house maintenance, right?
The shower floor likes so nice with the new beyhive tiles!
Your house is beautiful, by the way 🙂
Thank you Catharina! The pool floor wasn’t damaged, thankfully! And YES, always so nice to be done. Such a great sense of satisfaction when you work hard for something.
XOXO
I feel like you are getting ready to sell up and move.. to Utah!
Haha! No plans to move!
Just curious, do you cut out new tree branches every year or do you take them down and re-use them? 🙂
I just use the same ones each year, but I think this year it may be time to retire these ones…they are getting a little worse for the wear!
XOXO
Our family friend used to say “Home ownership… it’s mostly just water management.” Hahah so true!
Ha!
Nice!
