I’m even ok putting up with the mountains of papers my kids lugged home just because it means one thing: freedom.
The only thing I’m not ok with is that the end of school means my only son graduated from elementary school. I can’t stand how quick he’s growing up.
you are a better mom then me, because I am a little nervous about school being out. I have 2 more weeks. It’s bitter sweet I like my quiet days with just ethan, but then again I love love love summer fun, trips and FREEDOM!

I hear ya! My oldest is graduating elementary school this year, too and I HATE IT! I never have struggled with kids going off to kindergarten, but this middle school thing is killing me. To top it off, here in Texas middle school starts in 6th grade. (through 8th) I feel like I’m just throwing my “little” boy to the wolves!
I can’t wait. I seriously can’t wait. I can’t wait for no homework. Or no more fully made lunches at 7:45am. I can’t wait to not worry if they are stinky or not. Or if they have any clean, matching, pants. I just want summer to come. Please hurry!
Summer is here! I am with you Shawni…it is about time. The growing older is hard. I now have 2 in High School and the oldest is graduating a year early. She is depriving me of one year.:(
There are some good things that come with kids getting older. Its not all bad. We’ll talk. 🙂
I know what it feels like to watch your children just fly through the years. Courtney will be a senior next year and then off to college and her life. J.T. has our two grandbabies. I never thought they’d grow up so fast!
i can’t wait for the last day of school!!! 14 more school days for us! my class this year….boy are they ever ready to be going to first grade!!!!
