Where was Max? In Reno at Jr. Nationals with his team:
Yes, for the 4th of July! He had a great time but boy, how we missed him! So glad he is here with us now, even though he broke Claire’s toe when he came in for a hug when he got here.
I know I’ve already told the story about how I was shy as shy could be in the beginning of high school. Oh how I clung onto that older sister…
First of all, thank you soooo much for all your help and comments in the last post. That meant a lot to Elle (and me too:). Lots of helpful ideas…
Years ago when we lived in Virginia, three little toddlers clinging to my legs, I was part of a “Family Home Evening group.” What is that? you may ask. Well,…
Last week was a week I wished I could multiply myself over and over again, and “be there” for so many. It seems that there are so many moving pieces…
I’m home, totally and completely rejuvenated.…And I adore these girls even more than I did before I left. My amazing sisters. I have SO much to write about, but I’m…
wow look at those eye lashes! I wish mine were like that!
lovely pictures, I like the ones with the glow sticks
The picture of you and Lucy is GORGEOUS! What a precious moment captured!
Wow, do you and your group of friends have to try out to make it in? You certainly have a corner on the "beautiful, thin people." I wonder how many wish they could get in on that, but don't fit in.
I don't understand your comments. Maybe it's because I'm in the uk but I don't have a clue on what you mean.
Looks like you had a brill day:)
I love Grace's hat & Claire's sunglasses. Claire looks so grown up in that picture.
I notice Lucy has lost more teeth – so cute:)
By the way, did Max really break Claire's toe or was it just a joke?
I love your blog, it always brightens my day:)
Luv
Julie
P.S. Is it possible please to do the rest of the love story between you & Dave? Would love to read more.
Oh my goodness, how adorable is Lucy with her toothless grin?! Love it!! 🙂
I have been reading your blog for a few years now, but have never before commented. I think you have a BEAUTIFUL family and I am always amazed at how well behaved and kind your teenagers seem to be. With raising my own daughter (who is still very young) I am already thinking a lot about her teen years and the challenges that can come with that age group. I know keeping God at the center of your family is a HUGE help in keeping your teens on the right track, but I just wanted to let you know that I gain a lot of inspiration and parenting ideas from your wonderful blog! Thank you for sharing!
beautiful, i loved seeing the new family photo next to the one in the side bar from a previous year and seeing how everyone has grown. Looks like everyone had a great time.

I just love the skirt you are wearing in these photos (black and white stripe) and have been trying to find something like it on the internet. Can you let us in on the secret of where you found it?
I love that skirt too!!! I can't seem to find it anywhere! You wear the cutest clothes. =)
