…and back to the walking adventure:
When we arrived in China someone told our kids that there was a place here where you could hold a baby tiger.
They were all over it.
Every weekend we tried to find a time to go but it didn’t work until we decided to jump in the car and head on over last minute after the half-day “Sports Day” at school (back HERE). Claire had invited a friend over for the afternoon so we took her along.
It was one of those days where all is right in the universe.
Everyone had the biggest smiles stretched across their faces the whole time, there was little squabbling between the kids, and the sun was slanted just-so.
I’m going to go ahead and let the pictures tell the story. The first half of the pictures were just our walking-around adventure.
The part where we are really close to the animals is when we were in a bus going through this “Jurassic park”-type enclosures…big humongous double-gates opening and closing for us as we passed through all the carnivorous animals.
It was a good day.
The baby tiger is such a cuddly kitten! Love it! Hard to believe how big she'll grow!
That look on Lucy's face when she's holding the bird just makes my heart all kinds of happy.
Okay. That does it. We are coming. When do you leave again?
