I love Sundays.

Especially lately since I’ve been really trying to use this day to focus in more on what’s most important.

Today I substituted in the Sunbeam class at church.

I almost cried twice during singing time because of how cute those songs are. Especially those two new ones about families. I’m so thankful for our church and the values it teaches our kids. SO thankful. I can teach my kids about making good decisions and choosing the right ’til I’m blue in the face. And yes, I’m sure most of it soaks in and makes a difference. But how amazing is it that we have all these other outside sources helping to ingrain the good stuff into their minds?

Tonight we made pumpkin muffins (see recipe here) to celebrate that it’s September this week and that, to us, means it’s kind of Fall. We are kind of hoping deep down that September will mean it will just maybe stay under 115 degrees…just maybe.

And we laughed ’til our guts hurt watching Lu do the hoedown with her sisters. Oh my word, Lucy’s future self is going to KILL me for publishing this, but I can’t help it.
