Welp, Happy late Memorial Day everyone! So very grateful for a chance to reflect on those who have given their lives to keep us safe.
I have SO much to write, but for now I have been utilizing some time with this gal:

…and the rest of the family who were able to come to town for the weekend.
Something to note:
Grace asked why it looks like there are all old blog posts showing up on the home page of this blog right now and I’m here to say those posts are actually all new and improved, re-written to help moms with summertime coming up. I added some new insight as I’ve been reminiscing to times when I had all my kids home with summer looming ahead.
I have one more post I’ve re-worked with some ideas I love (helping kids be productive in the summer…while keeping their mothers sane:), then moving to family reunions. Because we’re in charge of our family reunion this year and I’m dying for some new good ideas on that one.
ALSO I have so much to write about this coming up very soon:

I still feel like I am pinching myself we got to go to Egypt with all our adults (and some best friends). So much to share, soon.

But for now, just wanted to say hi, and send out some love!
XOXO

Congratulations on your fabulous trip to Egypt and having all your family with you. This is wonderful. Long time reader. Can you provide/remind me as I think you had shared the “ways” in which you help to travel with family in terms of the “financial “ side? ( not at all the nosey/rosey prices). Just trying to see how this is done . We were at my husbands —Resident /Fellow status long ago ( Cardiology), and so unable to travel with our income and fast forward we have our 3 adult children and trying to do trips with them and spouses…. Trying to figure out the ways to assist them so we can share in family times. I thank you so much for your input and insights into the family and strengthening the generations. As well… the summer help you provide in the last posts. Take care.
Oh gosh, this comment got lost in the shuffle. This is a great question that I think every family will come up with a different answer for. Dave and I decided a long time ago that we would sponsor trips like this when we can, so we have put aside funds appropriately. It’s the inheritance we want to leave our kids: time and experiences together. Other families may put priority on completely different things and that’s awesome too. Time together doesn’t have to be international travel or extravagant. A camping trip without social media, a “stay-cation” close to home, really any time prioritized to be together in any way makes such a difference for making connections and bonding as a family. Sending you love and best wishes as you navigate what works for you for this stage with your family.
XOXO
