I’ve had a bunch of people ask me how to make blogs wider and pictures bigger. Here are some links for you if you’re interested:
To make your blog and header wider, go here.
There are a couple things you can do to make pictures bigger. First, you can upload them to photobucket the size you like (I’m liking my vertical ones to be at like a 550 pixel width, and horizontal to be around 600). Then copy the line under the picture that says “direct link.” Then click the little picture icon at the top when you’re composing a post (like if you’re adding a picture from your computer) but instead of browsing and listing the pictures you want on the right side, paste in that “direct link” you copied from photobucket where it says “or add an image from the web” on the right. Does that make sense?
The second way is a little more technical. Click here to check it out.
Hope that helps!
oooh…thank you! Just what I’ve been looking for!
Thanks! I’ve been trying to figure that out!
Question – when I tried to expand the posts, my links on the right hand side of the page fell to the bottom of the page (did that make sense?) – how do I get my links to stay on top to the right? I’ll keep looking to figure it out…but if you have a shortcut, please share! 🙂
thanks shawni- so glad i know how to do that on photobucket now. how fun!
Shawni,
Thanks for the info.
I was wondering how you did that. good to know… thanks
Seriously, I have been BEGGING my husband to teach me the wider blog page thing. He is a software engineer but, alas, the “cobbler’s children have no shoes” or, “Mama’s blog is in serious need of an overhaul!”
I have been spending a lot of time moving those little arrows around trying to make bigger pictures so as soon as I can find time to follow these instruction…I’m there!
Love you,
Mom
Thanks for the links…I am SO not technically inclined, but my header has been spilling over just a tad and I was able to fix it from the directions here! Yea! Thanks again for being so willing to share.
Yea! Thank you! Now I’ll have to give it a try.
Great to see you the other night.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Great tips!! thanks
THANK YOU SO MUCH! It’s so easy, I was afraid it would be hard!
