The Dodo Copycat Turkey Sandwiches

The quickest and most tasty sandwich you will ever make

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. Turkey from the deli have them slice it so thin it's almost falling apart
  • 1/4 lb. Baby Swiss Cheese, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 sliced avocado (optional)
  • 1/3 c. grape jelly
  • 1/3 c. barbecue sauce Recipe calls for "slow-simmered Kraft original," but I bet any variety would work.

Instructions
 

  • Load hoagie rolls with as much turkey as you desire...honestly the more the better in my opinion.
  • Add slices of the baby swiss cheese.
  • Broil on high in oven for approx. 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is slightly browned.
  • Mix equal parts of barbecue sauce and grape jelly in a saucepan on the stove.
  • Serve hot and dip in that strange concoction of grape jelly and bbq sauce.
  • Add avocado if you have some...this makes it extra tasty.

Notes

Note that the turkey pictured in these photos isn't as thinly sliced or plentifully stacked as I normally would love. But it's what we had on hand.
