Do you ever feel a little let-down after Christmas?

It was all so fast and I’m still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that it’s in our wake already.

Nutty.

While I’m trying to organize all my pictures, I wanted to share two of my very favorite Christmas gifts this year.

One came well before Christmas, near the beginning of December when I was swimming in printing Christmas card envelopes. I had stayed up way too late a few nights trying to re-learn Photoshop to create those suckers, then the addresses always take forever, then trying to figure out a new way to print the envelopes, I was deep in the trenches of frustration with it all when the cards finally arrived, too dark, weird font I had chosen too late at night (ha!), my kitchen exploding with things in the process of getting done (all the deliveries, wrapping, Relief Society gifts, dinner prep, neighbor gifts, wishing I could get some help ready to boil over, blah blah blah, you moms know the drill).

And there was a knock on the door.

It was my in-laws, just popping by for a visit with their sparkly smiles.

I think they could almost see my body wilting (ha!)

And being as observant as they are, they noticed the stacks of empty envelopes all over the place and quickly put themselves to work. They stuffed and stamped every single one of those never-ending stacks of cards and made my whole Christmas with their service.

Dave joined in at the end and they freed up enough time and mental/emotional space that we even got to take them out for a quick dinner.

I am the luckiest to have those two in my life.

Another gift I loved was this little video Elle presented from our time in Italy and Switzerland a few months ago:

The only thing better than being in the midst of making memories on a grand adventure is being able to relive them over and over again.

So grateful for gifts like these!
