I’m doing “recipe Thursday” on Wednesday this week cause I’m all messed up on my days. And it’s someone’s birthday tomorrow. Really, who wants to talk about recipes when there’s a birthday to celebrate? 🙂 Ok, so my friend gave me this recipe years and years ago and I’ve made it so much you’d think everyone would be sick to death of it. But they gobble it up every time. It’s so easy it almost makes me cry in happiness on those hard-to-get-to-dinner-early days. And it looks and tastes kind of fancy and is easy for a crowd too. This is all you need:Well, ok, and you need the pork too… I usually get those long packages of tenderloin at Costco, but any pork will do. Dump 1/2 c. soy sauce, 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce, and a teaspoon of minced garlic in a Ziploc with the pork. Now, I have only had a 1/4 c. of one or the other of these in the past and it still works…the key is just to do equal parts of those. And let’s just go ahead and pretend meat looks more appealing when it’s raw… Marinate that pork for a couple hours or for as much time as you have on hand. It’s great if you can let that marinade seep in for a while, but I’ve marinated for as little as 1/2 hour and still had it turn out tasty as can be. Grill for approx. 8-10 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and cut in diagonal slices (helps it keep tender). Serve with whatever great sides you choose. Watch your family lick their forks in delight as they eat it up.

Thanks for posting your recipes!! I've really enjoyed them.
Can you do it in the crockpot?
This looks delish!! I've been looking for a recipe for a pork tenderloin! Thanks! Is there anyway to cook it in the oven instead of grilling?
Just wanted to say I made this for my family of five and everyone loved it! It's rare that we get a dish besides pizza that everyone asks for more of! Thanks for sharing!
Two questions:
1) Are you talking about the long pork ROAST at Costco?
2) I see someone else already asked this but….have you tried this in the oven? Our grill does not work well when it's so cold outside! (Utah) I would love to try this next week for our office party that is at our house but not sure that we'd be able to grill it….
Just wanted to let you know at 1:00 pm today I realized that I never defrosted my tenderloin, so I threw it (frozen) into the crockpot with the ingredients. At 5:00 pm, it was totally done so I put it in my cast iron skillet and browned it on each side for 5 min per side and it was still amazing! Thanks for the recipe, my whole family raved about it!
I have never tried this in the oven or crockpot. It sounds like from "J" that it worked great in the crockpot. I'm assuming it would work in the oven too, but can't vouch for that personally. And Maryanne, yes, those long pork roasts from costco work great.
Shawni, THANK YOU for answering my previous questions! And I'm SO SORRY for asking a couple more…but I'm dying to make this! 😛
So, using the long pork roasts at Costco, do you slice it first into individual size slices, then marinate and grill? OR do you marinate it as one big piece of pork, THEN slice and grill?
I'd be interested in knowing how "J" did hers, too, as far as when she sliced it; before or after marinating/cooking.
