Well, it’s about time I post about Elle. (Since she has been reminding me every other day that she hasn’t had a turn yet.)
And how do I even begin about Elle? She is one of the most responsible, kind and sensitive-to-the-needs-of-others people I know. I can’t believe how lucky I am to get to call her mine.
Full Name: Wellesley Jade (named after Wellesley College…in my opinion the most gorgeous college ever)
Nicknames: Elle, Elle Belle
Lessons she took during the school year: piano, tennis, gymnastics
Biggest problem right now: swimmer’s ear from her early-morning dive team practices…and from spending half of every summer hour in the pool
What she wants to be when she grows up: a babysitter and lifeguard when she’s a teenager and a photographer when she’s a Mom…and most importantly…a Mom
Favorite thing to do in school: writing & reading
Talents: She’s got serious skills. Not only with her great summer diving tactics and her straight A’s at school. I’m amazed at her ability to take care of kids.
As we were sitting in the bishop’s office on Sunday and the bishop was trying to get a word in edgewise amidst Lu’s antics, Elle happened to be sitting by her. She was totally entertaining Lu with her hands as she concentrated on what the bishop was saying with her mind. She was able to answer any question he threw her way as she sorted the counting cards Lu was demanding her attention on. I don’t know a whole bunch of 10-year-olds who can do that.
She can distract Lu or Claire from grumpy moods like nobody’s business. It’s no wonder why they absolutely adore her. I’m in trouble when people start calling her to babysit because I totally rely on her so much. But man are those people who ask her to babysit in luck because I think she’ll do such a great job.
Elle’s also a great cook. Ever since she took her cooking class last year she’s been such a great little partner in the kitchen.
How many kids she wants to have some day: 3 or 4
Favorite color: light green
Favorite thing to do when she has free time: hang out with her great friends, and she also likes to blog (if you haven’t checked it out yet you should click here)

She is such a cute girl! I miss getting to see her on a regular basis, like I got to in Activity Days. She is such a good example of how amazing the youth can be these days despite the abundant challenges and bad influences they are often surrounded with.
Elle is beautiful! You are truly blessed to call her your own! What an amazing family you have!
Elle sure is one of our favorite girls! xoxo
