Oh there is so much to say about the powerful effects of a good dad.
Sometimes, when I slow down enough to notice, I just feel so overwhelmed with gratitude for dads.
For the dads who put in the work to connect.
The ones who take the time to explain how things work.
The ones who lead by example. Who aren’t afraid to stand up for goodness and what is right.
I loved this post from Brooke Romney about how to appreciate your own husband more. So important!
Because really, Dads have the power to make the world go around.
Children want to make their fathers proud, and an involved father promotes inner growth and strength. Studies have shown that when fathers are affectionate and supportive, it greatly affects a child’s cognitive and social development. It also instills an overall sense of well-being and self confidence.

The beauty of when a dad simply “shows up” makes all the difference in the world.
Thankful for Dave
I’m so grateful for this dad of our family who has shown up in so many ways.
He puts up with my hiking love, even with a baby strapped to his back (and a masterful mustache I must say). He is willing to put in the work to give our kids things he loves like skiing.
And that is no easy feat I tell you!

An Emergent Good Dad
And now we have a new emergent Dad here as part of our family.
Thank you to all the good dads out there who are changing the world one day at a time.
May we support them and encourage all their efforts in every way we can!
Totally off topic but Dave looks a little bit like Jason Bateman!
Love all these pictures. Most of them I have never seen! The internet couldn’t keep up with Dave’s Dance. I’ll try again tomorrow. Ha!
I have never seen most of these pictures. LOVE them!
Your family looks wonderful, god bless you all!
